About Us

It was in the year of 1990, when three guys got together and formed this group, and named it  "The New Singing Disciples".  They were Earl Cox, Gerald Hackett, and Wayne Robinson.  We had a number of guys to join and quit the group since then, and for many different reasons they just couldn't hang with us.  One thing we found out for sure, that by singing in a gospel quartet, you have to really enjoy praising the Lord in song if you're going to be dedicated. 

We've sure had our ups and downs, for in our travels on this journey it hasn't always been easy.  We've been lied on, been mistreated, and talked about, but glory be to God, we still press on.  All I can say is through all the hard times, and through all the bad times, by God's grace we have made it this far.  All praises go to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We believe in the old saying ..."Only What You Do for God Will Last". 

We've been blessed to be in concert and sing with a number of well known gospel singers and groups such as Dorothy Norwood, Shirley Caesar, Willie Neal Johnson and the Gospel Keynotes, Tommy Ellison and the Singing Sons, Vickie Winans, Luther Barnes and many more.  We also have been blessed to record three CD's which can be purchased from this site.  The first one entitled "Show Me the Way Lord", the second "Stay With Me" and the third "Our Story".

Our members are from five different areas of two states...  Bowie MD, and in Virginia... Westmoreland County, Northumberland County, Richmond County, and Montpelier, VA.  Members are:  Gerald Hackett - Vocals,   Oscar "Jack" Parker - Vocals,   Patrick "Pat" Wilson - Vocals,   Walker Wilson - Vocals,   Rev. Milton Jackson - Vocals,   Lewis "Lu" Jackson - Keyboards, Daniel "Boone" Ball - Drums,   Sylvester "Bootsie" Lewis - Guitar, and Wayne "Bassman" Robinson - Bass Guitar & Manager.
